South Tillamook County Emergency Volunteer Corps
The South Tillamook County Emergency Volunteer Corps (STCEVC) started in 2014 as the Community Emergency Response Team sponsored by the Nestucca Rural Fire Protection District. Our EVC is dedicated to assisting our community prepare for any natural disaster.
Today, EVC includes the Prepare Your Neighborhood (PYN) Captains and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Educating ourselves and our neighbors to improve our community’s safety and survival are our primary goals. The PYN Captains help organize their neighbors to prepare for disasters ranging from major storms to catastrophic earthquakes and tsunamis. CERT members can help their families and their neighbors because they are trained in disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, fighting small fires, and supporting the Nestucca Rural Fire Protection District with traffic control, firefighter rehabilitation and response to terrorism incidents.
Will you be prepared when disaster strikes? Learn skills for your family and for your neighborhood. The South Tillamook County Emergency Volunteer Corps invites you to a FREE CERT BASIC TRAINING, Coming Late Summer 2023.
